How Can pain Below The Breast After A Back Surgery Be Treated?

Hi, my mother had back surgery 3 weeks ago and has had a very tough time recovering. Currently, she has major pain under her right breast, behind her ribs. About a week ago, they detected that she had a UTI. Since then, she has been treated with antibiotics. However, her symptoms have persisted. Her energy is low and at night when she sleeps, she gets very cold, then perspires. I m afraid that the symptoms from the UTI have somehow gotten worse since she has the pain under her breast, behind her ribs. ALSO, her vision has been blurry, particularly her right eye. This started yesterday when she woke up. Her eye(s) have also been sensitive to light. Can you please help me with any advice/education that may help me better understand what is going on medically with my mother.. Thank you kindly!!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear ,
I evaluated your query thoroughly.
@ We need some basic data which are missing here like - details of back
surgery - current medications - associated illness as diabetes / BP
problem - vision difficulty before surgery - breathing difficulty -
temperature levels- food intake - back pain etc.
@ In absence of that I would comment
# pain behind ribs mostly related to back surgery irritating some nerve
endings or some particular posture compressing underlying muscles
# Perspiration is in concern with UTI
# Dim vision is associated with some medications currently going on may be
some pain killer like tramadol / else .
Hope this clears your doubts to some extent.
Welcome for any further questions anytime.
Wishing her fine recovery onwards.
Regards.
